Easy Tiramisu

  • 1 Pound of Mascarpone cheese
  • 1⁄2 a Cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 Tablespoon of instant coffee
  • 1⁄2 Cup of hot coffee
  • 1 Cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 3 Tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 3 Tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 each butter pound cake
  1. Make sure that the Mascarpone cheese is at room temperature.
  2. Combine the sugar and the egg yolks and heat them over a double broiler until the sugar is completely melted.
  3. Whip until light yellow and at least double in volume.
  4. Mix the instant coffee and the hot coffee and dissolve completely.
  5. Blend 3 tablespoons of the coffee mixture with the egg mixture.
  6. Blend the egg mix into the Mascarpone cheese, do not over mix.
  7. Whip the heavy cream and add it to o the cheese mixture.
  8. Blend, but Do Not Over Blend.
  9. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar and mix with the remaining coffee mixture , mix until dissolved.
  10. Slice the butter pound cake into ¼" slices.
  11. Place a layer of the pound cake into a 9" x 9" baking dish.
  12. Brush the it with the sugar-coffee mixture.
  13. Pour ⅓ of the cheese mixture over the pound cake slices.
  14. Dust 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder over the Mascarpone.
  15. Repeat this process 2 more times ending with the cheese mixture.
  16. Dust the top with the cocoa powder.
  17. Chill before serving.
